This website celebrates BIPOC, Latin American, and women composers, traditionally underrepresented in the field of classical music, who have written music for my instrument, the bassoon. This website does not attempt to be an exhaustive resource, but rather highlights bassoon music by some composers who are interesting and which bassoon pieces are unknown or not played as often.  My hope is that others may find the page useful as a resource to learn about these composers and their contribution to the bassoon repertoire, as well as, the importance of playing not just the standard pieces but explore some of the many beautiful works out there that need to be played more frequently!
